What started in 1992 as a cozy café in Sausalito has grown into a beloved local institution.

Founded by Danish natives Annette and Gerner Andresen, the Lighthouse Cafe quickly became known for its simple, high-quality fare—blending American comfort classics with Scandinavian favorites like Danish meatballs and Norwegian salmon.

With just 30 seats (and often a line out the door), the café earned a reputation as “the perfect spot for breakfast or lunch”and a true locals’ favorite.

That success sparked a steady evolution—expanding to Corte Madera, and Mill Valley—each location carrying forward the same welcoming, small-town charm and thoughtful, ingredient-driven cuisine.

Now, the Lighthouse story comes full circle.

Opening April 1, 2026, the new Lighthouse Bar & Grill Sausalito ushers in the next chapter—featuring fresh seafood, prime steaks, and a curated wine list, all set against stunning waterfront views.
